My name is Kieu My. I‘m a Vietnamese-German designer currently studying at the Design Academy Eindhoven, enrolled in Studio Technogeographies with Martina Muzi.
In my work, I investigate how identity and cultural memory are embedded in objects, spaces, and everyday practices, creating interventions that bring people together.
With Diaspora Archive, I mapped informal networks and labor within Berlin‘s Vietnamese diaspora, exploring how diasporic identity shifts across generations. I archive not just to preserve, but to make knowledge visible and resist being forgotten.
Both workshops Mending with Nature and Framework.Lab brings people together to engage directly with materials, learn skills, and practice sustainability. There‘s something powerful about learning through making together, about knowledge that lives in materials and hands.
My practice spans graphic design, photography, ceramics, wood, metal, textiles, leather, installation, and video. I work in a way that stays open, leaving room for experimentation and discovery.
